He was beyond excited and keeps telling us how much he loves his instruments, this set is great for seeing if your child has a real interest in learning to play & which instruments he/she prefers before you fork out a higher price for a closer to real one, cheap plastic, so that is to be expected so don't expect to create a symphony of beautiful music from these, they are a younger child's toy, older kids will most likely find these cheesy and cheap

I looked in toy stores but all they had were plastic drums that flashed and played the same lame music that every other baby toy plays when you hit it, all around the rim is smooth and there are no sharp pieces for a baby to hurt himself on, the drum makes a nice sound and is sufficiently raised off the floor, the drum makes fine sounds playing with just your fingers or hands and my son really loves it

Bought this musical instrument set for my toddler, it comes with many different pieces, however I didn't love all the pieces that required her to put her mouth on it as we have play dates and other kids will attempt to do the same, all the other pieces are nicely painted, comes in a clear bag so she can see all the items, overall I'm happy with my purchase

I'm really happy with the instruments made with wood pieces, the wood is really sturdy but the plastic shakers and maracas are made of cheap/flimsy plastic, I also wish the backpack was a bit bigger, you have to play Tetris with the instruments to make sure they all fit in the bag, still a great toy for the price and a fun way for kids to explore music

I am a piano and cello teacher and I LOVE this rhythm set !! I use these rhythm instruments to teach basic counting and note values to my beginner students -- they get to pick which instrument they want to use that day -- what a great tool - works great !!!!!!! My students LOVE IT !! We have so much fun counting and the kids understand note values now !!!

The instruments fit well in her hands.She so excited and had so much fun making music and exploring the different sounds each instrument made, the construction and material is durable and well made and have so many pieces for good deal, I love it this music set because kip my daughter busy

I was just amazed at how great it is - the kids sat down for an hour a night for several nights in a row, creating really beautiful compositions with the different instruments, the selection of music is decent and varied enough that you don't get tired of hearing the same thing

The music isn't too bad to have to hear over and over again, I like that each instrument is a different color and shape to add another dimension of learning to it, it's even fun for me to experiment with adding and taking away different instruments

We play children's songs and add percussion with these instruments ... it's a family dance party and so much fun, she goes around and gives each person a different instrument and then makes changes, the backpack is perfect for storage
