I didn't try holding the hand made fire on the actual skin made of thicker knitting but you can protect your hand from removing a hot tray from the oven. If I have only one one, I can see if I have two. Because it will be great for you.

I lOVE these gloves. We heat our house with an outdoor wood furnace and it gets very hot loading large chunks of wood into it. There have been many times that I have lost a glove into the fire an its a gonner. I dont have to worry about that with these. #1 they fit great! there is a silicone ring around your arm and these babies arent moving. #2 They hold up to fire. You dont even feel heat on your skin. AMAZING!

Using them in today's BBQ party, and would like to recommend for BBQ fans. 1. They came with a pair of well made gloves; 2. They are very thick and long, I didn't feel any burn when turn over meat, 3. and it is the first time we moved the hot griller immediately after the party. The only thing I thought might be improved is the size. They are one size only, which is too big for women. Overall good buy.

I have used these gloves for barbecues and for filling up glass jars with hand-made jam (which must be done when the jam is boiling/really hot): excellent heat protection and excellent grip due to the red silicone patches: an excellent buy!

I received the glove today. I was surprised when I saw it was only 1 glove. I was under impression it will be 2 gloves because it makes sense to have 2 gloves. But I didn't read description properly and saw it mentioned only 1 glove. I still have not tested the glove. Hopefully it will be good

esta muy bien , muy grueso pero solo viene 1 solo guante se ve de buena calidad no lo eh probado como sale en las fotos pero se ve que aguanta bastante calor las parte rojas del guante se me hacen un poco delgadas pero son mas como anti derrapantes que como protección

I'm not sure why I waited so long to order these. These are amazing & a must to have. We've gone through so many that claim they are heat resistant but when you grill using only charcoal, and don't want to burn your hands-then order these! MAGNIFICENT:-) These have stopped alot of cursing, aggravation & burn cream.
